FUEL SYSTEM

CKP SENSOR REMOVAL/

INSTALLATION

Disconnect the battery negative (–) terminal from the
battery.
Remove the following:
– ECM (page 10-5)
– Timing belt drive pulley and timing belt (page 14-6)
Remove the bolt (6 x 14 mm) [1] and stay [2].
Disconnect the CKP sensor 2P connector [3] and
release the connector from the connector holder of the
ECM bracket [4].
Remove the bolt (6 x 16 mm) [5] and the CKP sensor
[6].
Align the boss [7] of the CKP sensor with the hole [8] of
the wire harness.
Install the CKP sensor by aligning its boss [9] with the
hole [10] of the cylinder block.
Install and tighten the bolt securely.
Install the grommet [11] as shown.
Install the stay and tighten the bolt securely.
Connect the CKP sensor 2P connector and set the
connector to the connector holder of the ECM bracket.
Install the following:
– Timing belt drive pulley and timing belt (page 14-12)
– ECM (page 10-5)
IAB CONTROL SOLENOID VALVE
REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
Remove the throttle body (page 5-71).
Remove the bolt (5 x 10 mm) [1], washer (5 mm) [2],
and IAB control solenoid valve [3].
Disconnect the 2P connector [4] from the IAB control
solenoid valve.
Disconnect the vacuum tubes [5] from the IAB control
solenoid valve.
Connect the IAB control solenoid valve 2P connector.
Connect the vacuum tubes to the IAB control solenoid
valve joint.
Install the IAB control solenoid valve and tighten the
bolt.
Install the throttle body (page 5-71).
