ENGINE COVER/COVER LOCK
Remove the under cover cap [1] and special bolt [2].
Remove the eight special bolts [3] from the R. engine
under cover [4] and remove it halfway.
Disconnect the water check tube [5] from the water
check grommet [6].
Remove the following parts from the R. engine under
cover:
– Under case grommet C [7]
– Hole plug [8]
– Water check grommet
– Water joint cap nut [9]
– Water joint cap [10]
Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
• Apply locking agent (Loctite
equivalent) to the seating surface of the water joint
cap nut.
TORQUE:
Water joint cap nut:
1.1 N·m (0.11 kgf·m, 0.8 lbf·ft)
L. ENGINE UNDER COVER
Remove the engine cover.
Disconnect the power tilt motor 2P connector [1] and
the trim angle sensor 3P connector [2].
Open the harness clips [3] and release the power tilt
motor wire and the trim angle sensor wire.
