STARTING SYSTEM
ASSEMBLY
Install the brushes [1] and four brush springs [2] on the
brush holder [3].
Install the plate [1] on the brush holder.
Secure the plate with the clip [2].
Apply grease to the internal gear [1], inner wall of the
overrunning clutch [2], gear shaft [3] sliding surface,
and the surface of a new gear shaft stopper [4].
Assemble the overrunning clutch, gear shaft, and the
gear shaft stopper with the internal gear.
Install a new snap ring [5].
Holding the overrunning clutch, push the gear shaft into
the overrunning clutch. Push the gear shaft stopper up
to set the snap ring in the groove of the gear shaft
stopper securely.
