Install the plate [1] and packing [2] on the front bracket
[3].
Install the yoke/rear bracket assembly [4].
• Install by aligning the projection [5] on the yoke with
the cutout [6] in the front bracket.
Apply water resisting sealant (Sumitomo 3M Padding
Sealer #8533 or equivalent) to the seat of each bolt [7].
Tighten the two bolt screws to the specified torque.
TORQUE: 5.0 N·m (0.51 kgf·m, 3.7 lbf·ft)
Apply engine oil to new O-rings [1] and install them on
the screws (6 x 22 mm) [2].
Install the plunger [3], spring [4], and the starter
magnetic switch [5].
• Assemble the plunger and clutch fork [6] as shown.
Install and tighten the two screws.
Connect the motor wire [7] to the brush terminal (M
terminal [8]) and tighten the nut [9].
