ASSEMBLY
Install the assist spring [1], click spring [2], and bolt (6 x
14 mm) [3], and tighten it.
Apply marine grease to the click spring roller.
Apply marine grease to the tilt stopper [4] shaft, tilt arm
bushing [5] inner and outer surface and tilting bracket
[6] cam part.
Set the two tilt arm bushings and two tilt stoppers to the
swivel case, and insert the tilting bracket into the right
and left tilt stopper shafts.
Make sure that the projection [1] on the tilting bracket is
at the right side and facing up when viewed from the
mount frame installation hole side in the swivel case.
Drive in the spring pins [2] using a commercially
available pin punch [3].
Drive in the pins so that 1.0 – 2.0 mm (0.04 – 0.08 in) of
the pin end is out of the tilting bracket on the opposite
side from the driving side.
• Do not drive in the spring pins excessively. The tilt
stopper cannot operate properly if the extrusion
length of the pin end is more than 1 – 2 mm (0.04 –
0.08 in).
Apply marine grease to the thrust receiver [1] shaft and
thrust sliding part.
Apply marine grease to the thrust receiver bushing
inner surface and thrust sliding part.
Install the two thrust receiver bushing A [2], two thrust
receivers, two thrust receiver bushing B [3], two
washers (12 mm) [4], two wave washers [5], two
washers (6 mm) [6], and two self-locking nuts [7].
Tighten the self-locking nut to the specified torque.
TORQUE: 6.0 N·m (0.61 kgf·m, 4.4 lbf·ft)
Install and tighten the six grease fittings [8] to the
specified torque.
TORQUE: 3.0 N·m (0.31 kgf·m, 2.2 lbf·ft)
Apply marine grease to the thrust receiver piston rod B
sliding part.
