IAB CONTROL SOLENOID VALVE

INSPECTION

1. IAB control solenoid valve power/ground line
open circuit inspection
Turn the combination switch OFF and disconnect
the IAB control solenoid valve 2P connector
Turn the combination switch ON.
Measure the battery voltage between the IAB
control solenoid valve 2P connector
wire harness side No.1 (Yellow/Black) terminal and
ground.
Does battery voltage exist?
YES
NO
2. IAB control solenoid valve signal line open/short
circuit Inspection
Turn the combination switch OFF.
Disconnect the ECM connector A
Check for open or short circuit between the IAB
control solenoid valve 2P connector
wire harness side No.2 (Black) terminal and ECM
connector A
(Black) terminal.
Is it normal?
YES
NO

– GO TO STEP 2.
– • Repair the open circuit in wire between
the No.10 fuse and IAB control solenoid
valve.
• If the main harness wire is normal,
inspect the No.10 fuse circuit in the
fuse /relay junction box (page 10-13).
main wire harness side No.12
– Circuit is normal.
– Repair the open or short circuit in wire
between the IAB control solenoid valve
and ECM.
