Apply
circumference of a new shift shaft A water seal [1].
Turn the mount case over and install the shift shaft A
water seal into the mount case using the special tools
as shown, noting the installation direction.
TOOLS:
Driver [2]
Attachment, 24 x 26 mm [3]
Pilot, 14 mm [4]
Apply engine oil to the outside circumference and the
inside of a new needle bearing [1].
Install the needle bearing in the mount case using the
special tools as shown.
TOOLS:
Driver [2]
Attachment, 24 x 26 mm [3]
Pilot, 20 mm [4]
Using a press, install the inner race [1] to the position
shown so that the inner race face is 1.0 mm (0.04 in) [2]
from shift shaft A [3] when it is removed.
