ROCKER ARM SHAFT O.D.
Measure and record the rocker arm shaft O.D.
STANDARD:
IN/EX: 19.972 – 19.993 mm (0.7863 – 0.7871 in)
Replace the rocker arm shaft if its O.D. is smaller than
the service limit.
ROCKER ARM I.D.
Measure and record each rocker arm I.D.
STANDARD:
IN: 20.019 – 20.039 mm (0.7881 – 0.7889 in)
EX: 20.019 – 20.049 mm (0.7881 – 0.7893 in)
Replace the rocker arms if their I.D. is larger than the
service limit.
Also check the rocker arm-to-cam contact surface for
any wear or scratches.
ROCKER ARM SHAFT-TO-ROCKER
ARM CLEARANCE
Subtract each rocker arm shaft O.D. from the
corresponding rocker arm I.D.
STANDARD:
IN: 0.026 – 0.067 mm (0.0010 – 0.0026 in)
EX: 0.026 – 0.077 mm (0.0010 – 0.0030 in)
SERVICE LIMIT:
IN: 0.067 mm (0.0026 in)
EX: 0.077 mm (0.0030 in)
If the rocker arm shaft-to-rocker arm clearance exceeds
the service limit, replace the rocker arm and recheck.
If the rocker arm shaft-to-rocker arm clearance still
exceeds the service limit, replace the rocker arm shaft.
