Reset Control

The ADV7604 can be reset by a low pulse on the RESET pin (i.e. a hardware reset) with a
minimum width of 5 ms. The EDID/Repeater controller in the HDMI block is not affected by this
reset. It is recommended to wait 5 ms after the low pulse before an I
ADV7604.

The signals from the 5 V input pins of the HDMI port selected through
RXA_5V for port A) are used to reset the HDMI section when the 5 V input pin is low. The

Crystal Frequencies Operation

The ADV7604 can operate on three different base crystal frequencies. Selecting one over the other
can be desirable in systems where board crosstalk between different components leads to undesirable
interference between video signals.
