The registers that control the synchronization signals routed to each synchronization channel are
described in Section
10.7.2
used to provide timing to the CP core. The method that is used to determine the sync channel that is
used to output sync signals to the CP core is determined by SYNC_CH_AUTO_MODE. This bit is
used to enable and disable the channel auto mode and works in conjunction with the
SYNC_CH1_PRIORITY
• SYNC_CH_AUTO_MODE = 0
The priority of the channels is determined by SYNC_CH1_PRIORITY:
SYNC_CH1_PRIORITY
SYNC_CH1_PRIORITY
• SYNC_CH_AUTO_MODE = 1
The synchronization channel that output sync signals to the CP core is automatically
selected and based on the free run status of each channel. The priority of selection is
determined by SYNC_CH1_PRIORITY:
SYNC_CH1_PRIORITY
free run and monitor channel 1.
SYNC_CH1_PRIORITY
free run and monitor channel 2.

The output from the synchronization channel multiplexing can be read from the
SEL_SYNC_CHANNEL
Rev. F August 2010
and Section 10.7.3.1. The output from one synchronization channel is
bit as follows:
= 1: Select channel 1
= 0: Select channel 2
= 1: Priority for channel 1 – free run if both channels are in
= 0: Priority for channel 2 – free run if both channels are in
Description
Disables auto mode. Priority of channels determined by
SYNC_CH1_PRIORITY.
Enables auto mode. Automatically selects which
synchronization channel drives CP core.
Description
Channel 2 synchronization processing result takes priority.
In automatic mode: the free run status of channel 2 is first
checked. Channel 1 used to drive core only if channel 2 is in
free run.
In manual mode: uses channel 2 to drive CP core.
Channel 1 synchronization processing result takes priority.
In automatic mode: the free run status of channel 1 is first
checked. Channel 2 used to drive core only if channel 1 is in
free run.
In manual mode: uses channel 1 to drive CP core.
