that all the parts can be laid out and allocated
according to their installation position.
Step
1 Remove the circlip from the sprag clutch
housing.
2 Compress the Seeger ring slightly using
Seeger ring pliers and take the sprag clut-
ch out of the sprag clutch housing while
turning it.

INSPECTION
SPRAG CLUTCH HOUSING
SINGLE PARTS CHECK
Preparation
- Clean all parts carefully. See also section 05-
00-00 "Procedures"
SPRAG CLUTCH HOUSING CHECK
Step
1 Check whether oil sludge has accumu-
lated in the sprag clutch housing.
2 Check that the oil nozzle for the generator
is clear.
NOTE: The nozzle is 0.8 mm in diame-
ter. Check using a 0.5 mm wire.
3 Check crankshaft bore.
4 Check the cone surface.
5 Check the sprag clutch engagement
faces in the sprag clutch housing.
NOTICE
WARNUNG
If the oil nozzle is clogged, the generator coils
are no longer cooled sufficiently.
