11.2 Hard Wire Base Block (HWBB)

11.2.2 Hard Wire Base Block (HWBB) State

• Direct Drive Servomotor: 1/20 rotation max. (rotational angle calculated at the motor shaft)
• Linear Servomotor: 50 mm max.
• The HWBB does not shut OFF the power to the SERVOPACK or electrically isolate it. Imple-
ment measures to shut OFF the power supply to the SERVOPACK before you perform main-
tenance on it.

11.2.2 Hard Wire Base Block (HWBB) State

The SERVOPACK will be in the following state if the HWBB operates. If the /HWBB1 or
/HWBB2 signal turns OFF, the HWBB will operate and the SERVOPACK will enter a HWBB
state.

11.2.3 Resetting the HWBB State

Normally, after the /S-ON (Servo ON) signal is turned OFF and power is no longer supplied to
the Servomotor, the /HWBB1 and /HWBB2 signals will turn OFF and the SERVOPACK will
enter the HWBB state. If you turn ON the /HWBB1 and /HWBB2 signals in this state, the SER-
VOPACK will enter a base block (BB) state and will be ready to acknowledge the /S-ON signal.

If the /HWBB1 and /HWBB2 signals are OFF and the /S-ON (Servo ON Input) signal is input,
the HWBB state will be maintained even after the /HWBB1 and /HWBB2 signals are turned
ON. Turn OFF the /S-ON signal to place the SERVOPACK in the BB state and then turn ON the
/S-ON signal again.
