DETACHABLE COMPONENTS
RADIATOR GRILLE
Tilt the grille panel forward and disconnect the
electrical wiring at the head lamp sealed beam
unit and parking lamp assembly.
If equipped with air conditioning, proceed as
follows:
• discharge the air conditioning system
m disconnect the air conditioning high pressure
hose at the sight glass connection and cap
the hose and sight glass fitting to prevent the
entry of dirt and moisture
• disconnect the air conditioning high pressure
hose at the fitting on the compressor and
cap the hose and the compressor fitting to
prevent the entry of dirt and moisture
• lift the radiator grille panel from the vehicle
INSTALLATION
Install the double-back tape along the bottom
on the backside of the applique.
Position the grille applique over the grille as-
sembly and press along the bottom.
CAUTION: Screws are installed into well nuts;
do not overtighten.
Install the screws and bumpers.
Connect and position the headlamp and body
assemblies.
Install the retaining screws.
Install the headlamp doors.
Position and connect the parking lamp
assemblies.
Install the parking lamp retaining screws.
Close the hood.
Install the front crossmember cover, if
equipped.
GRILLE APPLIQUE
General
The chrome grille applique is installed over the
grille assembly requiring the use of well nuts
and screws, as well as using the headlight and
parking light attaching screws to retain the
applique.
Removal
Raise the hood.
Remove the headlamp bezels.
Remove the headlamp body retaining screws.
Disconnect and remove the headlamp and body
assemblies.
Remove the parking lamp retaining screws.
Disconnect and remove the parking lamp
assemblies.
