Emergency shutdown of one enhanced network plane
At the ENET shelf

Make sure that the LED on the NT9X13 card is lit. The light indicates that the
power interlock on the power converter cards is unlocked. This procedure
can take 3 min.

The next action depends on which ENET plane you want to shut down.
If you want to shut down

At the same time, press down and release the switches on the faceplates of
the power converters in slots 1 and 4.

WARNING
Static electricity damage
Wear a wrist strap that connects to the wrist-strap grounding
point of the frame supervisory panel (FSP) to handle circuit
cards. The wrist strap protects the cards against static
electricity damage.
WARNING
Possible loss of service
Make sure that you power down the correct side of the ENET
shelf. If you power down an in-service node, calls in
progress can drop or network blockage can occur.
