SDC

The SDC (Selected Device Clear) command causes instruments using GPIB in the
listen state, to assume a cleared condition. The definition of a selected device
clear is unique for each instrument. For the N432A:
– All pending operations are halted, that are, *OPC? and *WAI.
– The parser (software that interprets the programming codes) is reset and now
– The output buffer is cleared.

SPD

The SPD (Serial Poll Disable) command terminates the serial poll mode for the
N432A and returns it to its normal talker state where device-dependent data is
returned rather than the status byte.

SPE

The SPE (Serial Poll Enable) command establishes the serial poll mode for the
N432A. When the N432A is addressed to talk, a single 8-bit status byte is
returned.
