By default, the system does not require password or perform authentication. If no ip or
osi is set, the default settings is osi.
III. Setting the IS-IS to Use the MD5 Algorithm Which Is Compatible With that of
the Other Vendors
You must configure this command when the switch needs to authenticate the devices of
other vendors using MD5 algorithm in IS-IS.
Perform the following configurations in IS-IS view.

Set the IS-IS to use the MD5 algorithm
compatible with that of the other vendors.
Set the IS-IS to use the default MD5 algorithm.
By default, the system uses the MD5 algorithm in IS-IS which is compatible with that of
Huawei.
5.2.14 Setting the Mesh Group of the Interface
On NBMA network, the interface of a router will flood the received LSP to other
interfaces. However, this processing method applied to a network with higher
connectivity and several p2p links will cause repeated LSP flooding and waste
bandwidth.
To avoid such problem, you can configure several interfaces into a mesh group. The
interface will flood it outside the group only.
