5.2.4 Configuring IS-IS Route Metric Type
IS-IS routing protocol has two styles of route metric:
Narrow: the value of route metric ranges from 1 to 63.
Wide: the value of route metric ranges from 1 to 16777215.
Router can choose either or both of the styles.
Perform the following configuration in IS-IS view.

Restore the default settings
By default, IS-IS only receives and sends the packets whose route metric is in narrow
style.
5.2.5 Setting IS-IS Link State Routing Cost
Users can configure the Interface cost, i.e. the default routing cost.
Perform the following configurations in Interface view.

Set the routing cost of the interface
Restore the default routing cost of the
interface
If neither Level 1 nor Level 2 is specified in the configuration, both level-1 and level-2
will be the default value.
