D: ASSEMBLY
1) Press-fit the reduction drive gear to shaft.
2) Press-fit the new ball bearing into reduction drive
gear.
3) Apply vaseline onto the seal ring outer surface
and shaft grooves.
4) Apply ATF to new seal rings and install them.

E: INSPECTION
• Rotate the bearing by hand, and check that it ro-
tates smoothly.
• Check parts for holes, damage or adhesion of
dust and other foreign particles.
• Inspect the extension end play, and adjust it to
the standard value. <Ref. to 4AT-75, ADJUST-
MENT, Transfer Clutch.>
