58. Make the appropriate reference lines (A) at both
ends of the subframe (B) that line up w i t h the edge
(C) of the stiffeners (D).

59. Attach the f r o n t subframe adapter to the subframe
by hanging the belt (A) over the f r o n t of the
subframe (B), then secure the belt w i t h the lock pin
(C), and t i g h t e n the w i n g nut (D).
60. Raise the jack and line up the slots in the front
subframe adapter arms w i t h the bolt holes on the
jack base, then securely attach t h e m w i t h four bolts.
6 1 . Remove the subframe.
62. Check that the engine/transmission is completely
free of v a c u u m hoses, fuel and coolant hoses, and
electrical w i r i n g .
63. Lower the vehicle and securely support the engine
and transmission assembly.
64. W h e n the engine and transmission are securely
supported, and there is no tension on the engine
support hanger, r e m o v e the engine hanger f r o m
the engine.
65. S l o w l y raise the vehicle about 150 m m (6 in.).
Check once again that all hoses and electrical
w i r i n g are disconnected f r o m the engine/
transmission assembly.
66. Raise the vehicle all the w a y .
67. Remove the engine/transmission assembly f r o m
under the vehicle.
