SECURITY
This function serves to protect the user property stored in a personal computer and the user property inside modules in the
MELSEC iQ-R series system against threats such as theft, faulty operation, and unauthorized execution due to the
unauthorized access by an outsider. Use an appropriate security function according to the purpose as shown in the following
table.

Purpose
Blocks access from an invalid IP address by identifying the IP address of an external device connected by Ethernet. Thus,
unauthorized access to the system can be prevented.

Limits access to just specific communication routes connected by Ethernet. (A password is used.)
Thus, unauthorized access from a remote place to the system via Ethernet can be prevented.
