Checking the temperature sensor resistance

Measure the resistance between the terminal and the ground with an ohmmeter and replace if the resistance is
out of specified range.

Temperature Gauge

1. Disconnect the temperature sensor connector in engine
compartment.
2. Ground the harness side connector through 12 V, 3.4 W
lamp.
3. Turn the ignition switch to "ON" position.
4. Check if the test lamp comes on and the temperature
gauge is moving.
