Refitting, gearbox axis 5

5. Remove the attachment screws, gear Z4.
6. Apply the removal tool to the center hole of gear
Z4 to press the wheel unit free.
7. Remove the wheel unit by gently lifting it straight
out.
Action

DANGER!
Turn off all electric power, hydraulic and pneumatic
pressure supplies to the robot!
For Foundry Prime robots: Do not turn off the air
pressure to motors and SMB.
2. Make sure the two o-rings on the circumference of
the gearbox are seated properly in their grooves
respectively. Lightly lubricate the o-rings with
grease.
3. Fit two guide pins in the housing.
4. Refit the two new friction washers (2 pcs) in the wrist
housing.
5. Apply two lifting eyes to the gearbox, axis 5 , in
opposite positions.
6. Refit the gearbox, axis 5 to the wrist housing, by
gently lowering it straight down, using the guide
pins.
