Removing and installing crankshaft

Note
The engine should be attached to the engine repair stand with the
engine holder - MP 1-202 (VW 540)- for carrying out removal and
installation work.
1 - Bearing shell
❑ for cylinder block with lu‐
bricating groove
❑ do not mix up used bear‐
ing shells (mark)
2 - Drive chain sprocket
❑ for oil pump

❑ Axial play when new: 0.07...0.17 mm, wear limit: 0.37 mm
