– Remove coolant hose between engine and radiator -arrows-.
– Remove charge air pipe between the exhaust turbocharger
and the charge air cooler
– Safety instructions when working on the injection system

– Detach the fuel intake hose -2- and the fuel return hose -1-
from the fuel lines.
– Detach coolant hose -3-.
Vehicles with auxiliary heating
– Disconnect the fuel feed line.
Continued for all vehicles
– Remove pre-exhaust pipe with diesel particle filter

Note
On vehicles with four-wheel drive, the exhaust pipe with diesel
particle filter can remain in the engine compartment and the angle
gearbox must not be removed.
– Disconnect plug connection -5- for exhaust gas temperature
sender 1 - G235- ( temperature sender upstream turbocharger
- G507- ) and expose cable.
– Disconnect plug connection at exhaust gas recirculation cool‐
er change-over valve - N345- -arrow-.
