– Release screws -1 ... 3- for engine support and remove sup‐
port.
Note
To release the screws for the engine support, lift or lower engine
slightly via spindle on supporting device - T30099- .
Continued for all vehicles
Caution
The engine may only be turned in the direction of engine rota‐
tion (clockwise) at the crankshaft.
– Rotate crankshaft to TDC for cylinder 1.
The two tooth segments -arrows- on the camshaft wheels
must both be at the top.
– Lock hubs using rig pins - 3359- .

sprocket using the crankshaft arrester - T10050- or crankshaft
arrester - T10100- .
Distinguishing the crankshaft toothed belt sprocket:
A = original version of toothed belt sprocket with circular tooth
flanks, rectangular TDC marking on tooth in 12 o'clock position
for cylinder 1 - use crankshaft arrester - T10050 -
B = new version of toothed belt sprocket with elliptical tooth flanks,
triangular TDC marking on the gap in the sprocket in 1 o'clock
position - use crankshaft arrester - T10100-
