Removing
• Cylinder head fitted on engine.
– Remove engine cover
– Remove air filter with air guide hose and intake hose
⇒ page 208 .
– Remove battery ⇒ Electrical System ⇒ Rep. gr. 27 .
– Remove the bulkhead plenum chamber ⇒ Body Work ⇒ Rep.
gr. 66 .
– Remove radiator for exhaust gas recirculation with radiator
flap from bracket ⇒ page 241
connected.
– Remove brackets for exhaust gas recirculation radiator flap
and exhaust gas recirculation radiator.
– Remove toothed belt off camshaft sprockets
– Remove locking pins for diesel injection pump - 3359- .
– Unscrew screws -1- and -2- of the camshaft sprockets.
– Remove camshaft sprockets from the hub.
– Loosen fixing screw -1- of the hub. Use counterholder -
T10051- for this purpose.
– Unscrew the fixing screw of the hub by approx. 2 turns.
