Removing
– Remove steering column trim panel -arrows-.
– Lever out the cap (
⇒ page 182
– Unscrew fixing screw (
– Push the release tool - T10238- (for right-hand drive release
tool - T10240- ) as shown up to the stop into the provided
openings and remove the accelerator pedal module.
– Disconnect connector from accelerator pedal module. To do
so press down securing element from connector.
Installing
– Fit the plug -2- onto the accelerator pedal module -5-.
The locking of the connector must be audible.
– Push accelerator pedal module onto the securing bolt -6-.
– Insert the centering pin -7- into the hole in the underbody.
– Screw the accelerator pedal module with the fixing screw -3-,
tighten to 10 Nm and fit on the cap -4-.
– Install steering column cover.
– If the accelerator pedal module was replaced, the engine con‐
trol unit has to be adapted ⇒ Vehicle diagnostic tester.
– On vehicles with automatic gearbox, adapt the kick-down
function after replacing the accelerator pedal module ⇒ Vehi‐
cle diagnostic tester.
