43.2 Introduction
The FlexCAN module is a communication controller implementing the CAN protocol
according to the ISO 11898-1 standard and CAN 2.0 B protocol specifications. A general
block diagram is shown in the following figure, which describes the main subblocks
implemented in the FlexCAN module, including one associated memory for storing
message buffers, Receive Global Mask registers, Receive Individual Mask registers,
Receive FIFO filters, and Receive FIFO ID filters. The functions of the submodules are
described in subsequent sections.
