Replacing the Fan

Tools and Supplies
• Phillips screwdriver, #1
1. Turn the system off and disconnect all the external cables from the
back of the system.
2. Remove the rear cover and power module assembly. Refer to
Removing the Rear Cover and Power Module Assembly on page 375.
3. Remove the fan (four screws on the back of the power module) and
disconnect the cable.
4. Pass the rear interconnect cable and the DC power harness from the
Main board.
Install the new fan with the air flow arrow pointing toward the system
NOTE:
interior and connect the cable. Ensure that the cable is close to its
connector on replacement.
5. Reassemble in the reverse order. Refer to Installing the Rear Cover,
Cartridge Interface Assembly, and Power Module Assembly on
page 378.
