9. Cut the cable ties holding the preheater, the main heater, and the block
connector wires, which run along the rear of the cartridge interface

frame.

10. Remove the cam shaft:
a. Using the flat-blade screwdriver, remove the pinion gear from the
end of the cam shaft.
b. Using either a flat-blade screwdriver or needle-nose pliers,
remove the retaining ring (C-clip) from the cam shaft.
