Parameter
minutes: Real-time accounting interval. It ranges from 3 minutes to 60 minutes and
must be a multiple of 3. By default, this interval is 12 minutes.
Description
Use the timer realtime-accounting command to set the real-time accounting
interval.
Use the undo timer realtime-accounting command to restore the default real-time
accounting interval.
Note that:
To charge the users in real time, you should set the interval of real-time
accounting. After the setting, the switch sends the accounting information of
online users to the RADIUS server at regular intervals.
The setting of the real-time accounting interval depends to some degree on the
performance of the switch and the RADIUS server. The higher the performance
of the switch and the RADIUS server is, the shorter the interval can be. You are
recommended to set the interval as long as possible when the number of users is
relatively great (ú1000). Table 1-6 lists the numbers of users and the
corresponding recommended intervals.
