3.1.34 ospf authentication-mode

Parameter
simple password: Uses plain text authentication. The password argument is a string of
up to eight characters.
key-id: ID of the authentication key in MD5 authentication mode, ranging from 1 to 255.
key: MD5 authentication key. If it is input in a plain text form, MD5 key is a string of 1 to
16 characters. It is displayed in a cipher text form with 24 characters in length when the
display current-configuration command is executed. Inputting the MD5 key in a
cipher text form with 24 characters in length is also supported.
Description
Use the ospf authentication-mode command to configure the authentication mode
and key between adjacent routers.
Use the undo ospf authentication-mode command to cancel the authentication key
that has been set.
By default, the interface does not authenticate the OSPF packets.
The passwords for authentication keys of the routers on the same network segment
must be identical. In addition, you need to use the authentication-mode command to
set the authentication type of the area, so as to validate the configuration.

Example
# Configure area 1 where the network segment 131.119.0.0 of interface Vlan-interface
10 resides to support MD5 cipher text authentication. Set the authentication key
identifier to 15 and the authentication key to Huawei.
