Setting Basic Device Properties

set system name

Use this command to configure a name for the system.
Syntax
set system name [string]
Parameters
string
Defaults
If string is not specified, the system name will be cleared.
Mode
Switch command, Read‐Write.
Example
This example shows how to set the system name to Information Systems:
Matrix(rw)->set system name "Information Systems"

set system location

Use this command to identify the location of the system.
Syntax
set system location [string]
Parameters
string
Defaults
If string is not specified, the location name will be cleared.
Mode
Switch command, Read‐Write.
Example
This example shows how to set the system location string:
Matrix(rw)->set system location "Bldg N32-04 Closet 9"

(Optional) Specifies a text string that identifies the system.
Note: A name string containing a space in the text must be enclosed in quotes
as shown in the example below.
(Optional) Specifies a text string that indicates where the system is
located.
Note: A location string containing a space in the text must be enclosed in
