Part quality

Many of these issues are subjective and may require AE to look at or
build the part at Stratasys, Inc. The part's CMB file and STL file may
be required.

Verify filament path is clear of possible debris.
Verify canister has not become cross-wound.
A filament drive may have a gear mesh misalignment causing it to
lock on short toolpaths.
Put head in bracket and verify which switch is open (model or
support).
Remove loaded canister and verify filament pulls out freely.
Check for bad sense switch (some have plastic wheels that can
wear). Select Modeler Status > System State > Sensor States to
verify switch operation.
configuration in use.
PC-ABS support material expands at a higher rate than the model
material in a support removal tank. The force of the expansion can
cause fragile, thin, and fine-feature detail T10 parts to break. This is
especially true for parts with support material enclosed in model
material where the support material has no room to expand.
Manually remove sections of support material to allow room for
expansion.
• For example, if a hollow part has support material enclosed in
a thin rectangular wall of model material, you would remove a
small section in the middle of the support material.
• This step is very important to ensure part quality for
susceptible parts listed above.
Parts can be designed to minimize support material and make
manually removing supports easier.
Verify that a calibration has been performed correctly for the tip
configuration in use.
