PM Procedure Checklist

PM Checklists are available from the Stratasys website. There is a 12 month PM checklist to
be completed every 12 months. In addition to the 12 month checklist, there is a 24 month
supplemental checklist to be completed in addition to the 12 month checklist every 24
months. Each PM interval has a PM kit includes any items needed to complete the PM visit.
PM Checklists are also included with the PM kits.

Preventive Maintenance Procedures

Lubricate the X Y Gantry Guide Rods

Pulley bearings of the gantry are sealed. Do not lubricate. Replace
bearings that are not operating smoothly. (See
page 5-28.)
1.
Use a clean dry towel to remove old grease from the exposed surfaces of X and Y guide
rods. There are two guide rods for each axis.
2.
Apply a thin layer of Krytox to the entire exposed surface of the guide rods.
3.
Distribute the grease along the rods by manually moving the X and Y carriages to the full
extent of their travel. Do this several times.
