XYZ Tip Offset
The XYZ Tip Offset calibration uses a model (Calibration Job) which is built on the system
and then evaluated by the operator. After evaluating the model the operator enters
correction values into the system to adjust the X, Y, and Z tip offset values.
• The XYZ Tip Offset calibration must be run any time tips are changed.
• The Calibration Job must be built within tolerance before the calibration is complete.
• It may take several adjustments before the XYZ Tip Offset calibration is accurate.
Procedure
1.
Install a build sheet into the system.
2.
From the Main Menu on the system go to: Operator Control > Calibrate > Calibration
Job.
3.
Select a location and build the Calibration Job.
4.
When complete remove the model from the system.
5.
Determine the XY Offset Adjustment.
• Locate the position that the support road is best centered between the two
• Only one offset value can be selected for each axis, (e.g., an adjustment of
