Head Installation

Tools and Materials Required
• 9/64-inch hex key
Procedure
Caution: The head cable connectors should be disconnected and
reconnected evenly from the head and the MIO board. Turn each
thumbscrew ½ turn at a time alternating between thumbscrews until
the connector is removed or fully connected.
1.
Place the head assembly into the head maintenance bracket and fasten in place with the
head retaining screws.

Install liquefier tips. (See

Attach the head cable to the head.
4.
Install the filament tubes:
• Make sure each tube is inserted into the correct location. Model (red) on
• Push the tube fully into the fitting. Pull up to make sure that it is secured.
5.
Slide the cooling hose flange under the retaining screws and then tighten the screws.

Move head to the operating position. (See
page 5-14.)
7.
If a new head was installed, perform the tip wipe height adjustment. (See
Height Adjustment" on page

Power up the system. (See

Load material.

Run the AutoCal Tips calibration. (See
