Y Bridge Removal

Tools and Materials Required
• Set of basic service tools.
Prerequisite Procedures
• Place Head in maintenance bracket. (See
• Disconnect filament tubes, energy chain, and energy chain from head.
• Remove the X and Y belts. (See
• Remove the X bellows from the Y bridge. (See
34.)
Procedure
1.
Remove the energy chain bracket from the Y carriage - loosen, remove the two bracket
mounting screws.
2.
Loosen and remove eight Y bridge mount bolts (3/16-inch hex key), eight shoulder
screws (3/16-inch hex key) and eight spring washers.
3.
Lift the Y bridge from the system.
