AC Board Installation

Tools and Materials Required
• 5/32-inch hex key
• 7/16-inch open end wrench
• #2 Phillips screwdriver
• ESD wrist strap
Procedure
Caution: Wear an ESD wrist strap when working with the AC board.
If the system has been disconnected from its AC source, the system
frame will not be a proper ground. Attach the wrist strap to a known
good ground such as a steel electrical conduit.
1.
Remove the AC board from the static protection bag.
Caution: Use care not to scrape the bottom surface of the board
when positioning the AC board.
2.
Properly position the AC board in the system.
3.
Loosely install the five AC filter lug nuts (with washers) and eleven mounting screws to
align the board.
4.
Tighten the eleven mounting screws.
Improper grounding of the AC board can cause intermittent
machine operation problems. Intermittent problems may result if all
eleven mounting screws are not installed and properly tightened.
