Interlock Switch and Sensor Adjustments

Tools and Materials Required
• Set of basic service tools
• Ladder (for Top Door/Panel adjustment)
Caution: Proper adjustment of the system interlock switches is
essential to safe operation of the system. The switches prevent motor
operation when cabinet doors are open.
Procedure
1.
Turn on the system.

Hood Switch (Figure

Open/close the top hood. and observe the adjustment of the
switch plunger.
• The plunger must be centered in the switch bracket hole as
the hood closes.
• The plunger should be extended far enough to actuate the
switch when the hood is closed.

Adjust the plunger as necessary.
(1).
Make sure that the plunger bracket forms a 90° bend.
(2).
Loosen the plunger lock nuts (9/16 inch wrench) to adjust
the length and position of the plunger.
• The plunger mount hole is oversized to allow alignment
of the plunger.
• With the lock nuts tight, the plunger will float on the
mount to allow for slight changes in door alignment.
• If the plunger length adjustment is too long, it can
damage the door switch.
(3).
Tighten the plunger lock nuts.
(4).
Open and close the door several times to check plunger
alignment.

Close the top hood.
