System will not power down

If pressing the panel's stop (red) button only turns off the main contactor and does not
initiate a computer shutdown:

Verify that the thermal fuse has not opened or become shorted
to its mount plate.
You can check the thermal fuse for continuity at its connector on the
MIO board.

Verify that 24V DC is present at both (connected) spade
connections on the Stop button. The Stop button is an n/c
switch. Pin 2 (Violet) is 24V DC in and pin 1 (White) is 24V DC
to the Start button.

Verify that 24V DC is present at pin 3 (Blue) when the Start
button is pressed. The Start button is an n/o switch.
f.
Verify that 24V DC is present at pin 3 of JP17 on the AC board
when the Start button is pressed. This is voltage is supplied by
the Start button (pin 3).
g.
Verify that the serial cable connections from the computer to
the AC board are secure.
h.
Investigate connections from the AC board to the main
contactor and connections on the main contactor itself.
F6 (2 amp) on the AC board is used for the 24-volt thermal fuse
circuit.
You can do a quick test of the panel's start and stop buttons, the
wiring connections and 24V DC from the AC board by listening
closely for the activation (click) of the enable (K3) relay on the
AC board Remove the AC board cover and use the Start and
Stop buttons to turn the relay on and off. The main circuit
breaker and UPS switches need to be on.
Verify the BE controller version is 2.10.1 or above.
Check the serial cable connection between the UPS and computer.
Replace the UPS, as it's possible that AC Line Loss is not being
sensed or transmitted to the computer by the UPS.
