User interface is blank

The UI is powered by the computer's power supply.

Verify that the computer appears to power on properly - indicated by: operational case
fan; disk and CD access LEDs illuminate on power up.
• Connect an external monitor to the computer. Check startup script for

Check the cable and connectors from the computer to the UI.
3.
Replace the UI.
The contrast of the LCD display may become very weak if the
system's internal temperature is abnormally high. Inspect the Z stage
rail seals (2) for damage and thermal leaks.

User interface is unresponsive (system locked up)

Attempt to restart the system via power down/power up.
2.
Try and download the CFG file for examination at Stratasys Support.

Computer unable to restart properly

This assumes there is AC power to the computer. If boot failure
messages on UI indicate "Failure to Update I/O", verify that the
main contactor has been turned on. You can easily check this by
ensuring that the 24/48V DC power supply is on - indicated by the
illuminated LEDs for the canister drive status and MIO board (if
canisters are in place and drives are lowered).
Attaching an external monitor to the computer's VGA connection and
viewing the boot script can often provide possible failure
information.

Try to download the CFG file for examination at Stratasys Support.
2.
Verify that the case cooling fan is operational and not obstructed by dust or debris.
3.
Verify that the computer internal power supply is functioning. The +5 and +12V DC
levels can be measured at the hard drive's power connector.
4.
Verify that the hard drive's power cable is securely connected.
5.
Attempt a software load of the BE controller code can be loaded from the computer CD
drive.
6.
Replace the computer.
