Head Cable Installation

Tools and Materials Required
• Safety gloves
• Wire cutter
• Replacement cable ties
Procedure
Caution: The head cable connectors should be disconnected and
reconnected evenly from the head and the MIO board. Turn each
thumbscrew ½ turn at a time alternating between thumbscrews until
the connector is removed or fully connected.
1.
Feed the MIO board end of the head cable from the gantry area into the electronics bay.
2.
Insert the head cable into the energy chain
3.
Close the energy chain links.
4.
Measure the length of cable from its exit point at the energy chain to the end of the cable
connector. Cable length should be 17.75 inches (45 cm).

5.
Connect the head cable to head and then tighten the connector screws.
6.
Connect the head cable to MIO board and then tighten the connector screws.
7.
Replace the cable ties removed during disassembly.
