X and Y Pulley Removal
Tools and Materials Required
• 1/8-inch hex key
Procedure
A pulley and bearing assembly is replaced as a unit. A damaged
bearing requires the replacement of the complete pulley assembly.
Individual bearing replacement is not permitted.
The XY pulley bearings are sealed. Do not attempt to lubricate a
bearing. If lubrication of a bearing is necessary, replace the pulley
assembly.

Power down the system. (See

On the appropriate belt, remove one of the tensioners from its mounting block by
removing the wing nut. This will create enough slack in the built to allow pulleys to be
removed.
3.
Loosen the axle bolt of the pulley to be replaced (1/8-inch hex key) and remove the
pulley from the XY table.
4.
Remove the axle bolt from the pulley.
