Z Homing Switch Adjustment

Tools and Materials Required
• 0.010-inch (0.250 mm) shim
• 7/64-inch hex key
Procedure
1.
Remove the upper right side panel. (See

Move the Z Stage to the bottom of the build envelope (Operator Control > Move Head/
Stage > Move Z Stage to Bottom).
3.
Open the oven door to disable the servo motors.
4.
Manually lower the Z Stage until the Z Stage End Plates rest on the lower hard stops.
5.
Loosen the switch bracket mounting screws using a 7/64-inch hex key. (See
on page 6-35.)
6.
Place a 0.010-inch (0.250 mm) shim between the switch roller and the switch body.

after adjustment.
7.
Position the switch mounting bracket so there is a light drag on the shim as the shim is
moved back and forth between the roller and the switch body.
8.
Tighten the switch bracket mounting screws.
9.
Use the shim to re-check the adjustment and readjust if necessary.
