X-Axis Guide Rod / Pillow Block Installation

Tools and Materials Required
• Set of basic service tools
• Krytox Grease
• Medium strength threadlocker
• Replacement the pillow block/bearing assemblies and guide rod assemblies as
required. The bearing assemblies can be individually replaced. If a guide rod
assembly is replaced, replace both bearing assemblies on the guide rod.
• Guide Rod Assembly PN 10122201
• Bearing Assembly PN 10212301
Procedure
1.
Apply a thin coat of Krytox grease to guide rods.
2.
Install new pillow block/bearing assemblies onto guide rods.
• With the label facing towards the inside, slide (2) bearing blocks onto each

Position Guide Rod assemblies for installation.
4.
Install, but do not tighten, Guide Rod mounting screws.

Grease Bearing assemblies.

Caution: do not remove plastic plug from bearing assembly. It is
used to retain the bearing rollers.
