UPS Removal
Tools and Materials Required
• #2 Phillips screwdriver
Procedure
1.
Power down the system. (See

Remove the lower back panel. (See

Loosen the two clamp screws for the UPS/power supply tray. (See
82.)
4.
Carefully slide the tray out of the lower bay until it reaches the end of its travel.
5.
Remove the computer power cord and interface cable from the back of the UPS. (See
Figure 5-54 on page
6.
Remove the four UPS mounting screws (#2 Phillips screwdriver).
7.
Carefully lift the UPS from the system.

Procedure
1.
Properly position the UPS in the system.
2.
Install and tighten the UPS mounting screws.
3.
Attach the power supply computer power cord and interface cable to the UPS.
4.
Carefully slide the UPS/power supply tray into the lower bay until it reaches the end of
its travel.
5.
Tighten the two clamp screws for the UPS/power supply tray.
6.
Install the lower back panel. (See

Power up the system to verify operation. (See
