Z Lead Screw Installation

Tools and Materials Required
• 3/8-inch open end wrench
• 3/4-inch open end wrench
• 1/8-inch hex key
• 5/32-inch hex key
• Standard screwdriver bit
• Ball plunger adjustment tool
• Feeler gauge
• Super lube
• Snap ring pliers

Using the provided ball plunger adjustment tool or a standard
screwdriver bit, adjust the ball plunger so the ball is flush with the
Z stage end plate. Use a straight edge such as a feeler gauge blade
to verify the end of the plunger is flush with the end plate.
Adjust the ball plunger ½ turn out so the ball protrudes from the
end plate. A ½ turn will cause the plunger to protrude 0.020-inch
to 0.030-inch from the end plate.
