Filament Drive Inspection

Tools and Materials Required
• T15 Torx wrench
• Standard screwdriver
Procedure
1.
Unload the material canisters from the system.
2.
Power down the system. (See

Remove the filament drive that is to be inspected from the system. (See

Remove the inspection plate mounting screws (T15 Torx wrench) from the side of
filament drive.

5.
Remove the inspection plate and seal. The inspection plate may need to be carefully
pried free from the filament drive.
6.
Inspect the interior of the filament driver for loose or worn components.
7.
Clean loose debris from the interior of the filament drive housing.
8.
Install the seal and inspection plate. A new seal must be used if the old seal was damaged
during removal.
9.
Install and tighten the inspection plate mounting screws.
10.
Reinstall the filament drive into the system. (See
114.)
11.
Repeat the procedure for remaining filament drives as necessary.
