Head Filament Alignment

Tools and Materials Required
• 7/64-inch hex key
• 9/64-inch hex key
Procedure
Perform this procedure for Model and Support side of head.
1.
Unload material from the head.

Power down the system. (See

Remove the head from the system. (See

Check the filament path alignment through the switch block and drive pulleys.

Insert a short piece 6 to 10-inches (15.27 cm to 25.4 cm) of filament
through the switch block and into the drive pulleys.
Feed the filament into the liquefier tip by manually rotating the
motor drive gear. Rotate the motor gear from the backside of the
head assembly.
Check the filament for bends (or an S-shape) through the path.
• No bending is permitted.
• Centerline of pulleys should match centerline of switch block
and liquefier tip.
